Early Warning Systems: Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Banke and Bardia

The floods recurring every year cause huge loss of life and property in the low lying (terai) districts of Nepal. Practical action, Nepal, in collaboration with local NGOs, has installed an Early Warning System in flood-affected districts and has also strengthened people’s capacity to cope with floods through various skill development trainings.
