MENA Countries to Form a Regional Adaptation Initiative for Mountains
Mountain Partnership focal points and ministerial representatives from Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey and Yemen discussed climate change impacts faced by their countries, and the new and existing funding mechanisms as well as tools related to climate change with the aim of establishing a platform for promoting adaptation measures and adaptive capacity. They agreed to form a regional initiative for mountains in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region within the context of the Mountain Partnership
