UNU’s Institute for Sustainability and Peace hasannounced postgraduate-level courses on ‘BuildingResilience to Climate Change’. The courses will runfor five weeks in Tokyo (Japan) from 20 February to23 March, 2012. Following are two courses that willbe offered for a duration of two weeks each:Course 1: Science, Impacts and VulnerabilityCourse 2: Approaches to AdaptationIn addition, a week-long hands-on training in‘Remote Sensing and Geographic InformationSystems (GIS)’ will also be provided. Priority willbe given to students who are currently enrolled ina postgraduate programme. However, the coursesare also open to young faculty members, researchersand practitioners who have completed master’sdegree and are working in the relevant field.
