The Primary Industries Adaptation ResearchNetwork (PIARN) is hosting a workshop at theWorld Congress on Conservation Agriculture on 29September, looking at the interface between climatechange adaptation and mitigation in agriculture.PIARN co-convenor Professor Richard Eckardwill lead the workshop, with contributions fromPIARN leaders Professor Peter Grace (QUT), DrPeter Hayman (SARDI), Professor Richard Harperand Professor Snow Barlow, as well as two leadinginternational researchers. Contributors will talkon the synergies and conflicts between adaptationand mitigation. A facilitated discussion betweenpresenters and participants will then workshopoptions for addressing emerging conflicts whilebuilding on synergies.
