The Global Adaptation Network (GAN) builds on the work of UNEP-facilitated Regional Networks, including the Asia Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN) as well as similar networks in the LAC region (REGATTA), Africa (AAKNet) and West Asia (WARN-CC). The GAN Steering Committee is being convened with the aim of guiding and advising on the direction and further development of GAN activities at the global level. These include facilitating inter-regional knowledge-sharing and collaboration between the Regional Networks, representing them in various international fora, and undertaking global knowledge-sharing and capacity building activities. The GAN Steering Committee is composed of representatives of the four Regional Networks, including members from government, partner organizations, and key donors.
