Description of Intervention
The project aims for disaster risk communication through a radio drama. Disaster risk reduction messages are integrated into the story lines of the very successful BBC educational radio program “New Home, New Life”.

• To raise community awareness of hazards and disaster risks;
• To promote understanding of hazards and communities’ vulnerabilities; and
• To help communities enhance their capacities to address vulnerabilities.

The program, through innovative story telling measures, helps in raising awareness among local communities for disaster risk preparedness. Hence, developing adaptation capabilities.
