Description of Intervention
Due to proximity to water bodies, isolated geography, lack of infrastructure, low economic development and dependence on natural resources, the project area is one of the most vulnerable communities to climate change. Recent cyclones have severely damaged crops, decreased fishing stocks, and compromised fresh water sources that reduced yield and put households at risk for food insecurity.
The project aims to restore livelihood opportunities for women of vulnerable communities by improving ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change impacts.

To restore livelihood opportunities for women of vulnerable communities by improving ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change impacts.
Objectives
• To establish a “Women’s Resource Center” at the village level to provide a platform for women to gain more access and control over agricultural resources, develop the negotiating power of the group; and
• To facilitate initiatives of service providing organizations and community based organizations focused on topics affecting women such as food security, health, sanitation, and income generating activities.
How it fits into the EbA concept
Since the project aims to restore livelihood options/ opportunities of vulnerable communities by improving ecosystem based adaptation being threatened by climate change impacts, it fits both into the EBA and CCA concept.
