Description of Intervention
Four states in India (Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal) covering the four agro-climatic zones of India were chosen as location for the project. GIZ and its Indian partners are using a multi-level approach involving several different components for this study. These include conducting a Vulnerability assessment, testing adaptation measures and developing financial instruments for adaptation. The end result of this exercise will be development of state level adaptation plans.

Since the project involves vulnerability assessment followed by climate proofing the development programmes, it fits into the CCA concept.
