SWoCK Project in Solomon Islands

SHARE THIS PAGE:

The Solomon Islands National Adapation Programme of Action (NAPA) has established that effective adaptation will require supportive institutions, finance , information and technological support. The need for detailed assessments of climate change impacts and risks for the agriculture sector was highlighted to be critical for meaningful integration of climate change risks into future plans and initiatives. The Strongem Woka Lon Communiti Kakai (SWoCK) project has been designed to respond to those needs.

This UNDP project, implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Meteorology and Disaster Management (MECMD) and funded through the Adaptation Fund, will strengthen ability of communities in Solomon Islands to make informed decisions and manage likely climate change driven pressures on food production and management systems.
