International Conference on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation for Food and Environmental Security, SEARCA, Los Banos, Philippines, 21–23 Nov
This scientific meeting will be held at SEARCA, College, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines, from November 21 to 22, followed by a one-day field trip within the Southern Tagalog Region on November 23. The event is being co-organized by the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), in partnership with the Asia Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN), Food Security Center of the University of Hohenheim, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Philippine Department of Agriculture Bureau of Agricultural Research, the Philippine Climate Change Commission, Nanyang Technological University S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore, and other knowledge partners. The international conference aims to bring together researchers, academicians, policy-makers and planners, development workers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other professionals in a discussion forum for the exchange and updating of information, and integration and forging of linkages towards enhanced regional capacity to achieve food, environmental, nutritional and health security in the face of climate change, which is undoubtedly one of the greatest challenges that humanity has to confront today.
