This regional workshop will bring togetherparticipants from different regions in Asia and thePacific focusing on the social dimensions of climatechange. The workshop aims to highlight and increaseawareness of government officials, particularly fromthe Ministries of Finance and Planning, as well asother key decision makers on the social dimensionsof: a) investment in climate adaptation, b) energy andsocial dimensions, c) new opportunities: creationof green jobs, and d) future pathways: alternativesto the existing paradigm for Asia, Implications forReaching the MDGs by 2015 and Beyond.
