Climate Change Vulnerability and Adaptation in Developing Country Regions
The AIACC project is an enabling activity of the Global Environment Facility in the climate change focal area. Primary funding for the AIACC project was provided by a GEF grant of US$7,500,000. Financial support was also received from the Canadian International Development Agency (US$100,000), the Rockefeller Foundation (US$25,000), the United States Agency for International Development (US$300,000) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US$50,000). The participating developing country institutions provided in-kind co-funding valued at US$1,800,000.
This report is but one of many outputs of the AIACC project. It provides a synthesis of research findings about climate change vulnerability and adaptation, summaries of results from regional climate change assessments that were executed under the project, a description of the capacity building activities that were implemented to support the climate change assessments, a summary of the project outputs and their uses,
an evaluation of project performance, and conclusions and recommendations.
