The Climate Change Adaptation Project of Watershed Organization Trust (WOTR), seeks to build the adaptive capacities of rural communities through an integrated and comprehensive approach that cuts across all key sectors on which rural communities depend, and that involves all key actors—civil society, government and private sector. It focuses on developing simple yet robust tools, protocols, mechanisms and instruments that can be widely adopted by others for large scale application, and on creating an enabling policy environment so that these successful approaches can be mainstreamed into governmental programs across the country.
