The Emergency Capacity Building Project (ECB) has developed a guide to facilitate development organisations in exploring a solution to the reduction of disaster and climate risks through their everyday work. It covers the essential introductory information, principles, guidelines, case studies, useful tools and resources needed to address disaster reduction and climate change adaptation in an integrated manner. The guide introduces the basic concepts of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation by identifying 10 basic principles for an integrated approach to build resilience. It also describes the ways to apply them in key sectors, with diverse populations, and in different contexts
