This article features the changes brought about by PACC after Tokelau was hit by a drought in 2011, which led to water rationing for a month. The resulting impact was that 75% of households had to survive with no water, and communal tanks held a mere 30% capacity of remaining water at the bottom of the tank. Now with the support from PACC, over 70% of the homes have completed the strengthening of their rainwater connections with over 50% of homes on Tokelau having had their water tanks repaired and first flush diverters installed.
