Impacts of climate change and development on Mekong flow regimes: First assessment – 2009

SHARE THIS PAGE:

This booklet provides a summary of the preliminary impact assessment of climate change and development on Mekong flow regimes and recommendations to improve
the assessment of these impacts. The results of two global emission scenarios (A2 and B2, IPCC 2000) were downscaled to the regional level covering the entire
Mekong River Basin, consisting of the Upper Mekong Basin in China and Myanmar and the Lower Mekong Basin in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam. The
development scenario is a 20-year plan scenario defined by the MRC Member Countries within the Basin Development Plan process. The predictions cover the
period 2010 through 2050.
