FoST is continuing its research and developmentefforts to design, develop and disseminate low cost,easily sustainable technologies for improving qualityof life of the poor people in rural areas. It has beenproviding a wide selection of products for cooking,drying, heat retaining and water purificationusing both solar and other environment-friendlysustainable technologies. It has also introducedsustainable sanitation and composting for the ruralpeople. It is currently conducting research on solaroven with reflectors, solar wall ovens, solar waterheating tubes, solar water pasteurizer, and briquettemaking from waste material, etc.
