This paper examines and analyzes the developments in the context of the ASEAN region, at the regional and national levels. It focuses on (i) the different forms of adaptation measures and the importance of mainstreaming; (ii) projected scenarios and their relevant impacts; (iii) adaptation within the international climate policy framework; (iv) the main features of the institutional and policy framework, highlighting future adaptation needs and options for the region; and (v) the policy implications.
