Tuvalu’s natural resource base and livelihood opportunities of its communities are seriously undermined by the combined effects of sea-level rise, increased frequency and intensity of tropical cyclones, rapidly progressing coastal erosion, increasing crop damage, and reductions of fresh water supply.
