According to Cambodia's NAPA, the area under wet forest will decrease while that under moist forest will increase due to climate change. This will in turn change forest productivity and biodiversity. A high rate of deforestation may accelerate the loss of forest biodiversity and reduce forest productivity. Climate change and forest degradation together may result in soil erosion with increased precipitation. The solution to this impending crisis lies in mixed forests with a variety of species.
